Government – Site Contractor Plan

Brief

Rigby Morrison was asked by a global facilities management provider to develop a major Government site contractor plan. There had been no previous effort to understand the contract in terms of service delivery.

Solution

A Rigby Morrison consultant spent 5 days onsite with the senior management team in order to ascertain what actions had already been taken, and gain access to the contract, and any supporting documentation. 

From this, a full detailed contractor plan was written to reflect exactly what was contractually required, and how the services need to be delivered, including resources, schedules, standards, specifications, and reporting measures.

Results

Following a detailed presentation to the senior management team, the contractor plan was utilised by the service provider to deliver the service. The contractor plan included areas in which the service provider was previously underachieving, including catering arrangements and cleaning specifications, which once rectified ensured contract compliance.

Following this project, the Government contract was extended for a further 5 years.

The contractor plan was gratefully received by both the service provider and client. The service provider contacted Rigby Morrison within 6 months following this project to work with them further to improve operating efficiency.
